Inner Code is a metal band formed in Florence in 2019, blending metalcore, nu metal and electronic elements to create a powerful and innovative sound. Their lyrics explore dystopian and introspective themes, maintaining a strong and distinctive identity. Over the years, the band has performed on renowned stages such as Viper Theatre (Florence), Alchemica Music Club (Bologna) and El Barrio (Turin), sharing the stage with notable metal acts including Fleshgod Apocalypse, Necrodeath, Frozen Crown, Mortuary Drape and Destrage.
In 2021, Inner Code released their debut album Nuovi Incubi, which received enthusiastic praise from the specialized press: RockHard Italia described it as "a lethal blend of aggression and reflection", while Metalitalia praised it as "an album that challenges the conventions of modern metal, bringing freshness and intensity to the Italian scene."
In 2023, they released the EP Desidera Distruggi Dimentica, described by critics as "a dark and experimental sonic journey" and awarded a score of 80/100 by Metal Hammer.
The band has often been praised for their ability to fuse powerful soundscapes with deep lyrical themes. RockHard Italia referred to them as "one of the most promising bands of the new Italian metal wave", while their live performances have been described as "immersive experiences of rare intensity."
In 2025, Inner Code released Supernova and Voices Calling, marking the debut of their new frontman. Voices Calling is also the band’s first fully English track, opening the doors to an international audience.
In the same year, they took part in the Dolometal and We Are Deathcore festivals, further consolidating their presence on the national live scene.
Inner Code now aim to continue growing, strengthen their position within the Italian metal scene, and bring their Code to an ever wider international audience.
